Backorder Creation - Edit - Item / Text

When you first create a backorder, Micronet defaults to item edit mode so you enter item details for the backorder. You can change this to text edit mode so you can enter free text for a backorder. This text also appears on the purchase order to the supplier.

To select whether to manage items or text for a backorder:

1. Display the Backorder Creation screen.

Refer to "Backorder Creation - Edit Menu Options"

2. If you want to manage items for the order, select EDIT | ITEM.

This option is selected by default – see "Entering Backorder Lines" for more information.

3. If you want to manage text for the order, select EDIT | TEXT.

Now when you choose the Add or Insert buttons on the Backorder Creation screen, Micronet displays the Enter Text screen instead of the Enter Backorder Line screen. See "Enter Backorder Line - Text" for information on this screen.

Technical Tip You toggle between the ITEM and TEXT menu options. When you select one, a tick appears next to it and the other option is toggled off.

4. If you want to:

• add an item / text line, select the Add button.
• insert an item / text line, select the line below where you want the line inserted then select the Insert button
• delete an item / text line, select the line then select the Delete button.
• edit an item / text line, double click on a line or select a line then press Enter.

Technical Tip If you select an item line to edit, Micronet displays the Enter Backorder Line screen even when the TEXT option is toggled on, and vice versa.
